Sometimes, clients aren’t looking for a new website or a brand redesign—they approach us with a print or digital design project that they’d like us to work on due to our history of sleek and professional creative solutions. Living Stone, based in Hampshire, wanted just this. Living Stone design and distribute high-quality porcelain and stone for outdoor spaces, and asked our team to work on updating the design and layout of their most recent catalogue.
The brief that we worked from was simple: Living Stone wanted to present a contemporary, minimalist aesthetic that focused on impactful imagery and a luxurious tone. One of the first tasks was streamlining their colour palette down to present their products with sleek two-tone layouts that demonstrated the aspirational qualities of their stone.
The imagery within the brochure was chosen specifically to juxtapose a stark and clear presentation of Living Stone’s products against flashes of foliage, giving each page a distinct sense of space and scale. The goal was to immerse the viewer into a natural world and spark their imagination.
Our work with Living Stone is an example of how we are able to work within existing brand guidelines and elevate them to a new level. We wanted to show the client as the best they could possibly be, conveying an image of utopian living. This meant expanding the white spaces in the areas that relied on text to mirror the expansive and calming nature of the accompanying photography.
