Verto Dives into the Swimathon 2018

Announcement

The Verto team are pooling together our resources to tackle the 2018 Swimathon. Eight enthusiastic buoys and girls from the office have signed up to complete a 5k swimming relay on Sunday the 29th of April. As well as taking the opportunity to show off their swimming prowess, the team aims to raise money for a variety of different charities close to our hearts, including Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie.

The team at Verto are no strangers to taking on a challenge for charity. Last year, our participation in Leicester’s 5k Bubble Run raised over £450 for Rainbows Children's Hospice. Alongside this, 2017 also saw yet another annual trip to north Wales, where our team of intrepid explorers conquered Mount Snowdon once again.

With most of our office being only casual swimmers, the team have really thrown themselves into the deep end with this latest endurance trial. After testing the waters to make sure that everything is ready to go, our aspiring Michael Phelps’ are itching to jump into the challenge. Our team have put in some intense training over the past few weeks and everyone is hoping that the event will go swimmingly.

All puns aside, taking on the Swimathon is no mean feat. The event raises money for a great cause and any support would definitely be appreciated by both our team and the charities involved.

To give the Verto team some much-needed motivation, please dive deep and donate via our JustGiving page.
